Our Story
1987
The group was acquired by the National Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Society Limited (NFU Mutual), which gave extra momentum to its success & growth.
2016
The Group trading companies are M J Touzel (Insurance Brokers) Limited in Jersey and The Islands' Insurance Brokers Limited in Guernsey & Alderney. The Group re-branded as Islands in 2016 to highlight its emphasis on providing local service tailored for its customers in the Channel Islands.
2022
Marked a milestone in our history as we welcomed Hepburns Insurance into the Group, uniting over 50 years of their profound insurance expertise with our own. The merger amplifies our capabilities, enabling us to concentrate more intensively on professional skill enhancement while maintaining the highest standards of personalised service.
2024
Established the Islands Insurance Group (IIG) Brand, encompassing the operations of Islands and Hepburns under one unified identity.
