We’re looking for a Facilities Coordinator to help manage our office facilities and day-to-day operations.
About the role: Facilities Coordinator
As a Facilities Coordinator at Islands Insurance, you’ll be responsible for making sure the office stays clean, well-stocked, and organised. You’ll handle deliveries, supplies, errands, and general office tasks to keep everything running efficiently. This role is based in the office, with some travel required for deliveries and errands.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collect, sort, and distribute mail and packages.
- Deliver documents or parcels to clients or vendors when needed.
- Monitor and reorder office supplies, including stationery and kitchen items.
- Keep office equipment, like printers and coffee machines, stocked and working.
- Handle banking tasks, such as deposits and withdrawals.
- Keep the kitchen clean, stocked, and organized.
- Oversee confidential document shredding and disposal.
- Maintain the company vehicle and ensure it’s in good condition.
- Help with other office tasks as needed.
What you’ll need:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of office equipment and maintenance (e.g., coffee machines, printers)
- Ability to carry out light manual tasks, such as handling deliveries (reasonable adjustments will be considered in accordance with Guernsey’s discrimination legislation)
- Trustworthy and dependable when handling sensitive or confidential information
- Previous experience in an office support, facilities, or similar role is desirable
- A full, valid Guernsey driving licence is required, as the role involves driving a company vehicle. Applicants must meet the organisation’s motor insurance requirements
- Familiarity with local banking and delivery processes is advantageous
