About the role: IT Support Analyst
As an IT Support Analyst at Islands Insurance Group, you’ll be the first point of contact for IT-related issues. You’ll support internal teams and external vendors, resolving hardware, software, and network problems. You’ll also play a key role in improving processes and ensuring our systems stay secure and efficient.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage and prioritise tickets in the IT support system, escalating when needed.
- Assist with network security and access controls.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
- Offer on-the-job training and support to colleagues
- Suggest ways to improve IT systems and processes.
- Stay up to date with IT best practices and security measures.
- Support the Head of Information Technology in meeting business objectives.
What you’ll need:
- Professional IT qualifications (like CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Technician, or Level 3 BTEC Diploma in IT) are desirable.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A to C or equivalent).
- A reasonable level of physical fitness, as the role may involve physical tasks.
- Knowledge of current IT systems, including Microsoft servers, VMware, and Citrix.
- Good understanding of customer service and providing quality support.
Nice to have:
- Experience in an IT support role.
- Awareness of the latest developments in the IT sector.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
